Schizophrenia Clinical Trials

Schizophrenia affects millions of people worldwide every year. Together, we can work to create a world where no one has to suffer from this illness. But we can’t do it alone. We need volunteers to participate in clinical trials in order to aid in the development of new treatments. Scroll down to learn more about the clinical trials we offer.

About the Erudite Schizophrenia Study

We are investigating an oral medication, luvodaxistat, to test its effectiveness in treating the cognitive impairment that is associated with schizophrenia. We are currently accepting patients who:

Have been diagnosed with schizophrenia for at least a year
Currently taking an antipsychotic medication
Are 18-50 years of age

About the Journey 2 Schizophrenia Study

We are investigating a new study drug for people with schizophrenia who are taking an antipsychotic but still experiencing symptoms. We are currently recruiting volunteers who:

Have been diagnosed with schizophrenia for at least 1 year
Current taking an antipsychotic medication
Are still experiencing symptoms while on antipsychotic medication

Patients with Schizophrenia not responding to their current medication

A 6 week double blinded and 1-year open label of KAR-XT for patients with Schizophrenia, age 18-55. The study medication or placebo will be added in addition to their current antipsychotic. The study requires an “Informant” (family member or friend) who can attest to your current symptoms. The informant is required to attend the first 3 visits in person, and all other visits can be virtual for the informant. The compensation for this trial is $400-600 per visit for the patient, and $150-200 per visit for the informant. Travel is provided after qualified or reimbursed per visit with receipt. Visits occur every 1-4 weeks. Following the study, there is an option to continue in an open label extension study.

Patients with negative symptoms of Schizophrenia (Coming Soon!)

This trial will use Prescribed Digital Technology (PDT) to treat negative symptoms of Schizophrenia. Negative symptoms include: blunted affect, alogia (reduction in quantity of words spoken), avolition (reduced goal-directed activity/decreased motivation), social withdrawal, and anhednia (reduced experience of pleasure).
